Bears Continue to be Active in Columbia Ridge

 In Uncategorized

Dear Residents,

Bears continue to be active in Columbia Ridge with a sighting this morning. Another resident reported bears in her yard and on her deck last week.

Bears are preparing for hibernation and are looking for easy food sources. To reduce bear attractants remove bird feeders when bears are active, keep your garbage secure, remove compost bins, clean and store outdoor grills, and pick up fallen fruit.

If a bear is causing a conflict or posing a risk to safety, contact the Conservation Officer Service 24/7 call centre at 1-877-952-7277.
