The water level in the lake has risen but with that comes a drop in the temperature as well. It felt downright cold again last weekend. Of course, snow before the weekend didn't warm up the lake much. If you head out onto the water think about layering up because hypothermia can occur. We paddled down to Fairmont and one of our crew fell in right where Dutch Creek flows into the Columbia. She was shivering uncontrollably by the time we exited the water 15 minutes later.
The weather this week has been mixed and as I type, it is pouring out once again. That is supposed to break up sometime today but expect variable weather through out the weekend.Posted: Thu May 30th 2013 12:10pm 8 years ago
