Cut-Your-Own-Christmas-Tree Event Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Meet at Grandview Road (south of Fairmont Hot Springs) Free food and hot beverages. Location maps available from the NCC office or by email.

To: Columbia Ridge Community Members From: Nature Conservancy of Canada We are pleased to invite you to our third annual Cut-Your-Own-Christmas-Tree event on our Marion Creek Benchlands conservation area on Columbia Lake. We hope you can join us for an afternoon of festivities and fun. The trees available for cutting are a legacy of a Christmas tree farm that operated on the property in the 1970s, known then as SantaÂ’s Forest. Clearing these trees will benefit the elk and deer that feed on the grass and shrub understory in the open forests on Marion Creek Benchlands. Come prepared to stay warm and have fun. Bring what you need to cut and remove your tree, play hockey, skate, snowshoe, sled or hang out by the fire.
